Overview
Cuprinol Garden Furniture Stain for all types of wood. A water-based wood stain that enhances colours and protects all types of softwood and hardwood garden furniture, adding rich colour to softwood and a light tint to hardwood. The water repellent formula resists cracking and peeling whilst enhancing the natural wood grain. It has a matt appearance and is quick drying to allow most jobs to be completed in one day.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- To clean wood give it a good brush with a stiff brush to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood
- If the wood has been previously stained, painted or varnished, we would recommend to strip it back to the bare wood. For previously stained furniture use a suitable wood stripper or sandpaper

Application
Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure you are happy with the colour. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.
- Apply 2-3 coats evenly
- Brush on evenly along the grain avoiding overlaps
- Allow 2-6 hours between coats under normal weather conditions
- Apply only in dry conditions, above 5°C and when bad weather is not forecast
- Adds rich colour to softwood and a light tint to hardwood
- Final colour will depend on wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied
- For a strong colour change more coats may be needed
- Allow a few days before heavy use or contact with soft furnishings
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
To maintain your treated wood reapply a maintenance coat every year to prolong the life. Occasional cleaning with a dampened cloth or brush can also prolong the life of your treated wood.
Store any remaining product in dry conditions and protect from frost and sunlight.
