Overview
Ronseal Ultimate Protection Hardwood Garden Furniture Oil nourishes and protects exterior wood. The water based formulation offers long lasting protection and is rainproof in as little as 2 hours. It improves the natural colour of hardwood garden furniture whilst allowing the natural beauty of the grain to be seen.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- To clean wood give it a good brush with a stiff brush to remove any dirt, debris or loose wood.
- If the wood has been previously stained, painted or varnished, we recommend you strip it back to the bare wood. For previously stained decking use .
- If your wood has been effected by algae, fungi or moss this must be removed and can be cleaned with products such as .
- Lightly sand the furniture to remove rough splinters we recommend to use a 120 grit sandpaper working in the direction of the grain.
- Wipe the garden furniture with white spirit to ensure any excess grease and dust is removed.
Application
Shake the tin to mix the product and apply to a small area to ensure you are happy with the colour and finish. Please note colour may vary depending on wood applied to.
- Give the tin a good shake to mix the colour pigments.
- Pour plenty of oil onto a lint-free cloth.
- Rub well into the wood to ensure it soaks in.
- Wipe away any excess oil with a separate clean cloth.
- Allow to dry for 4 hours.
- For best protection apply a further 2 coats allowing four hour between each coat.
- Allow to dry for 6 hours after final coat.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
To make sure your furniture stays in the best possible condition, clean it regularly with a cloth to remove marks or stains.
Maintenance
The colour of your furniture will fade over time so for the best results, apply a new coat every 12 months.
